ASE Certification
Our Certification
We can tell you we're certified till we're blue in the face, but what does that really mean to you? Here are the steps each of our technicians go through to make sure they on top of their game, and in control of your vehicle. Now you know exactly what that bright blue seal of certification on our wall means to you.
More Than Just Certification
It's a really cool program that keeps us on our toes, and make sure we're taking the latest information to work with us every day. There are more than 350,000 ASE certified technicians in the automotive industry, and we're proud to be among them. What's the point, you ask? To improve the quality of vehicle repair and service, of course!
The Process
There are more than 40 exams in the ASE Certification pool, and depending on our area of specialty, we'll take as many as we see fit. The exams are grouped specialties, which include the following:
- Automobile
- Medium/heavy truck
- Truck equipment
- School bus
- Collision repair
It takes quite a bit of studying to pass these exams- in fact, only two out of every three people who take the tests pass on their first try! It's also really important that we have job-related skills to apply our knowledge to. We get that knowledge from the two years of relevant work experienced required to become ASE certified.
Once we're certified, though, the work doesn't stop there. In order to keep our certification, we have to retest (and repass!) every five years.
